In what is arguably his best performance to date, Keanu Reeves stars as Ted Logan, a high-school slacker and founding member of metal band the Wyld Stallyns with his best friend Bill S. Preston Esq. (Alex Winter). George Carlin plays Rufus, a man from the future who gives Bill and Ted a time-traveling phone booth. Their mission? They must research the past and ace a history-class presentation so the Wyld Stallyns can stay together and make sure time remains as it should. They learn more than history along the way, such as the importance of being excellent to each other, dudes.
