Scott Fortino, a Chicago cop who used his insider's access to photograph jails, jury rooms, and public schools for his book Institutional, brings urban-landscape inquiries outdoors for this exhibition at City Gallery, which focuses on Chicago photographers and city-centered images. Fortino pairs colorful wildflowers with beige city backdrops in this collection of recent photographs, which highlight his gift for differentiating foci and vivid color.
