True sultans of the Chuck-clad Ramones rip-off, Screeching Weasel were as obsessed with the Beach Boys as classic blitzkreig boppage, leveling some of the best Archie comic-worshipping "whoa-oa-ohs" ever written. While the band is now defunct, its mouthpiece Ben Weasel's online-only solo record is as juvenile, pogo-ready, and secretly emotional as a snot-nosed, pus-pimpled punk dead set on crashing the prom. The Chi-town son hits Reggies Rock Club tonight alongside fellow punkers the Challenged and the Girls.
