Film Row Cinema of Columbia College Chicago says…

Think sleeping on the couch is roughing it? Then meet The Last American Man, the subject of a 2002 biography by best-selling author Elizabeth Gilbert. Gilbert describes naturalist Eustace Conway as a modern combination of Henry David Thoreau and Davy Crockett, who spent 17 winters living in a tipi while wearing the skins of the animals he killed for food. Instead of remaining a recluse, he's become an environmental educator, traveling speaker, and founder of the Turtle Island Preserve. Tonight, Conway discusses his environmental philosophy with biology professor Dr. Kevin Fuller.
