The Neo-Futurists present a special benefit performance of this show on Thursday, Dec 4 at 7pm for $50.
It's not exactly how Charles Dickens envisioned Christmas Eve in Ebenezer Scrooge's life, but this political and interactive remaking of the classic novel and play is as traditional as the Neo-Futurists theatre collective gets. Although the Grim Reaper replaces the ghosts of Christmases past, present, and future to guide the audience through a series of intimate vignettes, don't fear too far of a departure from the original — Tiny Tim will still make an appearance. Arrive early for political caroling, a game of Christmas Past or Present, and a veggie holiday snack. Even the Muppet version of this tale wasn't quite so unorthodox.
