Fans of coming-of-age stories like Catcher in the Rye and The Graduate should enjoy new indie film Humboldt County, the tale of a young medical student whose one-night hookup with a free-spirited woman leaves him stranded in the titular Northern California pot-growing oasis. With awards on the festival circuit, critical praise, and a cast drawn from the very best of HBO (The Sopranos, Six Feet Under, Deadwood), it's more than just another stoner comedy. Producer Jason Weiss, a native of nearby Winnetka, will appear and take audience questions following the Monday screening.
