Since its inception five years ago, the annual Steve Krakow-curated Million Tongues Festival has brought the finest in freak folk, experimental noise, avant-drone, and underground psychedelia — including super-rare live performances by obscure artists from the '60s, '70s and '80s — to Chicago. Tonight's one-of-a-kind lineup follows in the tradition of the fest's finest moments. To wit: catch performances by UK legend Terry Reid, British acid-folk alchemist Mark Fry, London-based songstress Ellen Mary McGee, gnarly Nashville rawkers Hans Condor, a collaboration between local electro-noise duo piss piss piss moan moan moan and mind-bending experimentalists ONO, and even some killer "sidestage" acts. Got all that? It's almost too much awesome for one show.
