The indie-rock and indie-comedy scenes draw ever closer together, as DIY comedians like Stella, Patton Oswalt, and Slovin & Allen shun the two-drink minimum by booking shows in rock clubs. The same is true for the appealing oddball Eugene Mirman, who has toured with bands such as Modest Mouse. Tonight, the comic records a standup album for the Sub Pop record label, joining David Cross in its growing stable of humorists. (Remember when their only jokester was Krist Novoselic?)  Larry Murphy and the Chicago-bred Kumail Nanjiani get things started.
