A trip to the McCormick Tribune Ice Skating Rink at Millennium Park is quickly becoming a quintessential Chicago winter experience. Presenting both a perfectly romantic date locale and a great place to unwind after work with friends, the 16,000-square-foot outdoor ice field (one of the city's ten public rinks) features a toasty lobby to defrost frozen extremities, dazzling views of downtown, a concession stand, and storage lockers for your bags and shoes. Sharpen your skates and take to the ice, or just watch the red-cheeked, knobby-kneed newbies wipe out — the park's eighth annual season continues through March 15, 2009.
