Based on the classic Hasbro board game, and starring Tim Curry, Eileen Brennan, Michael McKean, and Madeline Kahn, Clue is one of the unsung comedic gems of the 1980s. Co-written by Animal House and Blues Brothers funnyman John Landis, the black comedy pits game characters Mr. Green, Col. Mustard, Mrs. Peacock, Professor Plum, Miss Scarlet, and Mrs. White against each other in a race to discover who killed Mr. Boddy, the mysterious man who has been blackmailing them all. The film features the gag-a-minute philosophy of films like Naked Gun, hilarious one-liners galore, and ongoing spoofs of murder-mystery clichés. Three different endings were filmed — so it's anyone's guess who the murderer will be today.
