If you're lovingly forced to spend the weekend lull between Christmas and New Year's with your family, escape the house for a laugh with the Harlem Globetrotters. Spinning the Globe, the team's 83rd consecutive world tour, is full of many of the same antics that have kept it a sports-comedy staple for nearly a century. The crew — with members like showman Big Easy Lofton and Sweet Pea Shine — keeps the game going with more jokes and tricks than actual ball playing, while Globie, the mascot with planet Earth for a head, tumbles in a group of foam soup cans. Clearly, tickets to one of these games will deliver far more entertainment (and gratitude) than a fruitcake.
