West Loop gallery ThreeWalls hosts the latest installment of its SALON series, "The artist in the field," which seeks to explore the true ramifications of artistic residencies. Sarah Workneh of Ox-Bow, Abigail Satinsky of InCUBATE, Joe Jeffers, Emily Green and Nicholas Wiley of Harold Arts, and Threewalls' own Elizabeth Chodos ponder how residencies influence creative production, career development, and collective practice, while forcing the artist to negotiate a host institution's established identity. SALON discussions are gently moderated open forums where public participation is encouraged.
