Teodoro Anzellotti
Tuesday Dec 9, 2008 (8–10pm)
Bond Chapel
1025 E 58th St
The Renaissance Society's eclectic concert series presents another enchanting offering: one of the world's most accomplished accordion players, Teodoro Anzellotti, performs solo in Hyde Park's Bond Chapel. Anzellotti's skill on the accordion inspires composers: he has a vast repertoire of over 300 pieces that have been written for him by composers such as Salvatore Sciarrino and Toshio Hosokawa. Tonight, Anzellotti selects personal favorites from this extensive back catalogue: keep your ears open for Sequenza XIII — a famed composition by Luciano Berio — which Renaissance Society curator Hamza Walker will surely insist be played.
