Film Labyrinth (1986)

Any fantasy movie starring David Bowie is bound to be genius. This one comes to us from the imagination of Jim Henson, whose delicate direction meanders through the Labyrinth with the mildly annoying Sarah (a young Jennifer Connelly), a teenage girl on a quest to rescue her kid brother (after she wishes him away — oops) from Bowie's ridiculous and awesome Goblin King. The maniacal mage's will not only crafts the maze and its inhabitants, but also causes him to break into song, tossing a baby 30 feet in the air while wildly dancing around in spandex.
