With their band Le Tigre on hiatus, JD Samson and Johanna Fateman hit the road as the DJ/remix team MEN to do what they've always done best: moving butts with sassy, smart electro rhythms. From the late '90s through the early 2000s, no one embodied Emma Goldman's classic quote, "If I can't dance, I don't want to be part of your revolution," better than these women. Tonight, the winners of dance punk's feminist sweepstakes are joined by Hey Willpower (side project of Imperial Teen's Will Schwartz), who know a thing or two about queer-friendly rock themselves.
