Stephin Merritt, the man who brought us the Future Bible Heroes, the 6ths, and the Gothic Archies, returns to Chicago after many years of absence with his most successful and prolific project, the Magnetic Fields. The baritone singer/songwriter has brought in some of his past collaborators for a three-night stand at the intimate Old Town School of Folk Music. Merritt's past live shows have been legendary (performing all of 69 Love Songs in back-to-back shows, for example), so we have no idea what to expect tonight.
