Sinuous and perceptually disorienting, Ball–Nogues Studio's installation is enigmatic and fascinating. The entire exhibition centers and flows around an amorphous orange and blue shape, emerging from thousands of nylon cords swooping and spanning the exhibition space. The delineated cloud of "catenaries" (aka, strings) turns out to be the physical translation of a digitally generated form. Although the architectural purpose of this shape is yet unknown, its success must be measured in the way its rippling presence charges and molds the interior space of the gallery, even while it's exact proportions seem to be constantly shifting.
