Combining bright bits of lo-fi electro, pouty girl-pop, and dance music, the Ting Tings are perfectly cut out for our post-Justice popocalypse. The Mancunian duo has already gotten the NME's panties in a bunch, and with a US tour underway, it's only a matter of time before you hear "That's Not My Name" in an iPod commercial. The group's sound itself is spare — Jules is on drums, Katie sings and strums — but its impossibly catchy, Toni Basil-esque chants are catnip to DJs and remixers alike. Case in point: Calvin Harris' remix of "Great DJ" (the video for the original is pretty much an iPod ad already).
