The indefatigable organizers of Girls Rock! Chicago — the summer camp that helps budding rock goddesses realize their dreams — throw one heckuva fundraiser. From gift-wrapping events to dance 'n photo booth parties at the Darkroom and rock shows at the Bottle, these gals (and guys) know how to raise capital in style. Tonight, the busy bees do what they do best, as DJs Red Panda, Melanie, and Mia Park (of Chic-a-Go-Go fame) commandeer the Cobra Lounge for a bake-sale benefit. Like we've always said, nothing works up a taste for homemade cookies and brownies like garage and punk tunes.
