LA's Bodies of Water make life-affirming indie pop, a happy-go-lucky mashup of Arcade Fire's heart-thumping arrangements, the Polyphonic Spree's communal euphoria, and the Go! Team's joie de vivre. One need only hear the band's anthemic "Doves Circle the Sky" for proof of its interminable good cheer. Tonight, the many-membered collective, whose unbridled exuberance drew the attention of Secretly Canadian (the label recently re-released the Bodies' gleeful Ears Will Pop & Eyes Will Blink LP), hits up Schubas to preview tracks off its forthcoming album A Certain Feeling. Fellow sunshine lovers Le Loup, the Ruby Suns, and Throw Me the Statue open.
