Listening to Indian's sludgy doom metal is a genuinely harrowing experience. With their down-tuned guitars, thundering bass lines, droning feedback, and soul-scraping shrieks, the local trio's onslaughts sound like a demon's darkest nightmare — in a good way. Indian return to the Bottle tonight with copies of their newly minted Slights and Abuse / The Sycophant release, which collects two of the band's vinyl-only recordings on one CD. Pop a Xanax, bring a pillow for the scary parts, and prepare for some heavy, heavy rawking.
