Apparently, consuming booze kills brain cells; how novel, then, to contribute to someone else's education with every downed pint or cocktail. As part of its second Monday Peace Parties, Danny's donates 50% of this evening's bar tab to Chicago Books to Women in Prison. Run out of Rogers Park's Beyondmedia space, CBWP fulfills book requests from incarcerated women and donates directly to prison libraries. Sure, it's a school night — but get your drink on anyway with an after-dinner toast or a nightcap, and dedicate it to the literate lifers with a long haul.
