Mary Roach, Bonk: The Curious Coupling of Science & Sex

Mary Roach has been dubbed "the funniest science writer in the country," and the title is well-deserved. Her previous books, Stiff: The Curious Lives of Human Cadavers and Spook: Science Tackles the Afterlife, meld serious research with a snappy wit unheard of in the annals of Science. Tonight, Roach reads from her most recent work, the double entendre-laden Bonk: The Curious Coupling of Science and Sex. Her obscure findings (like the scientist who studied the libidos of polyester pants-wearing rats) and raunchy chapter titles ("The Lady's Boner") turn this history of sex research into a veritable Saturday Night Live sketch.
