The Hideout celebrates the second anniversary of its Immediate Sound series with an all-star lineup of Chicago improvisers and out-of-town guests. The first night opens with two sets of collaborations between members of Jewels and Binoculars (a jazzed-up Dylan cover band) and Chicago locals, followed by Jewels and Binoculars themselves. The second night features a duet between two of the finest inside-outside players in jazz, the legendary Fred Anderson and bass virtuoso Harrison Bankhead; they set the stage for local jazz supergroup Index Orkest, including reedsmen Dave Rempis and Ken Vandermark and trombonist Jeb Bishop.
