When Dinosaurs Ruled the Earth once described their spastic sound as "digging through your trash and finding leftovers." The Austin-based septet utilizes two drummers, two guitarists, two "singers," and a bassist in their dumpster-diving pursuit of cacaphony. Since 2006's Snacks EP, they've incorporated gleefully incongruent bits (noise-pop, post-punk, hardcore) into some of the most chaotic and just-plain-hilarious music this side of the Butthole Surfers. Tonight, WDRTE perform tracks off their forthcoming full-length debut, NOT NOIICE, after fellow double-drum-kit enthusiasts Cave and post-punk outfit Head of Skulls start things off.
