Brennan McGaffey's latest creation is a 1:16 scale model of a Boeing KC-135 Stratotanker aircraft. The US Air Force has used Stratotankers for aerial refueling since 1957; would-be planespotters can use McGaffey's model to sharpen their technical knowledge and identification skills. At this scale, the wingspan is still over ten feet, taking up almost the entire space of the gallery, which doubles as proprietor Philip von Zweck's living room. Only one detail is less than totally accurate: the propane tanks are inactive.
