Chicago-based four-piece Shopping play rowdy, summer-love punk rock filled with snotty, beer-soaked vocals and devil-may-care guitar solos. Theirs is a sloppy and underdeveloped sound — think power-pop ruffians raised on a steady diet of the Speedies, the PeeChees, and the Boys — but Shopping is also punk revivalism at its best, with catchy tunes and straight-from-the-gut fun. Tonight, the band previews tracks off its full-length debut, due out this summer.
