The hundreds of happenings at Columbia College Chicago's Manifest 2008 can be a tad overwhelming, so you'll have to pick wisely. Highlights include 30-person "circus-punk" marching band Mucca Pazza; Transmission, a green-themed show of "art cars" made by Columbia students; and Spectacle Fortuna, a performance/puppetry parade. There are also screenings, lectures, student bands, and gallery exhibitions filling out the rest of the South Loop festival — as well as an innovative store called Manic Annex, where you can buy your favorite Manifest art works.
