- Curators Rob Bondgren and David Getsy push beyond the reductive categories of sexuality and gender in the LGBT-themed exhibition Everyday People at estudiotres in Chicago's diverse Andersonville neighborhood. Artists Brooke Barnett, Jared Buckhiester, Sean Fader, Doug Ischar, and Molly Landreth use frankness and humor to explore the ways in which the complexities of identity politics manifest themselves in everyday experiences. Media include drawing, painting, photography, and video; in particular, both Landreth and Fader use carefully staged photographs and seemingly banal settings to unsettling effect. – Jesse Stein
