More Flavor: Discussion Third Coast Festival Listening Room: The Lemon Tree (1998)
-
- The Lemon Tree
The award-winning radio documentary The Lemon Tree, produced for NPR's Fresh Air program in 1998, tells the story of an unlikely friendship between a displaced Palestinian family and the Jewish clan that comes to occupy their home. Tonight, join producer Sandy Tolan, who later wrote a book (The Lemon Tree: An Arab, a Jew, and the Heart of the Middle East) on the subject, for a rebroadcast of the touching story. A "post-screening" discussion and Q&A with Chicago Public Radio's Re:sound host Gwen Macsai follows.
