The Chicago Cultural Center is one of the city's architectural gems, with charms including the world's largest Louis Comfort Tiffany-designed glass dome. A full restoration of the dome is now underway — soon, natural light will stream through the newly cleaned and repaired glass. Those interested in the beloved local landmark (and former Chicago Public Library) are invited to this free discussion of the restoration project, held beneath the dome itself in Preston Bradley Hall. Expert panelists explain how the dome came to be, and describe the particulars of its extensive rejuvenation, finally nearing completion.
