Rilo Kiley have had to clean themselves up to appeal to a wider audience; last year's Under the Blacklight transported the indie-rock outfit into much slicker territory, relying on pop tropes and radio-ready hooks. Produced in part by Mike Elizondo (best known for his work with Eminem), the album remains polarizing: many old-school fans are none-too-comfortable with the band's newfound, funk-infused Fleetwood Mac worship. Still, whatever camp you're in, the old tunes are still around and as unbelievable as ever, and stage-shaking frontwoman Jenny Lewis remains a sight to be seen.
