In a post-third-wave landscape of mommy wars, Sex and the City fever, and continuous political upheaval, feminism is having a bit of an identity crisis. In the realm of art, monolithic viewpoints have fractured into multiple "feminisms," a concept that makes room for the diverse views of, well, half the population. Ladylike, a group exhibition curated by Joanne Hinkel, showcases the work of ten female artists. Highlights include Stacia Yeapanis' embroidered portrait of Buffy the Vampire Slayer; chic abstract paintings by Lorraine Peltz; and a multimedia performance installation by Jessica Hannah, in which live, retro-clad models are "displayed" by a fictitious company that manufactures robotic lady-friends.
