The weird punk/trash/blues of lo-fi French duo the Feeling of Love is less about romance and whispered sweet nothings than it is about deviance and devil-may-care derangement. The Feeling of Love marry filthy lyrics and helter-skelter guitar lines with foot-manipulated synths and tribal drums to achieve transfixing results that feel completely authentic. Indeed, their spastic, massively entertaining live shows — all desperate howls and careening, full-body paroxysms — prove that sometimes all you need to rock is some esprit et une guitare. Tonight, a full-band version of the FOL performs tracks off their debut album, Petite tu es un hit.
