For recession-stricken beat addicts, Sonotheque's free Minor Figure$ series is an oasis. Every Tuesday, the city's best DJs spin sets as varied as they are long — we're talking Mudd Club eclecticism with the endurance of Ibiza's marathons. Though every week is enticing, tonight's bill boasts two can't-miss artists. As half of the Gutter Butter duo, Ben Fasman regularly annihilates the Hideout and Danny's dance floors with hip-hop and funk. Having apprenticed under WKCR DJ and Rock Steady Crew member Bobbito Garcia, Fasman has a natural's ear for the give-and-take required when working a crowd. Damon Locks, meanwhile, mixes the kind of dub, funk, and post-punk that his much-loved band the Eternals made famous.
