Note: Sirota also reads and signs copies of his book at Borders today at 12:30pm.
David Sirota believes that we are mad as hell and not going to take it anymore. In his new book, The Uprising, Sirota argues that the US — where 85% of Americans report being dissatisfied with the course of the nation — is showing signs of a future political revolt. Comparing this widespread anger toward the establishment to previous backlashes that put Roosevelt and Reagan in office, Sirota declares that the time has come for a bottom-up insurrection against the status quo. Tonight, Sirota and authors Thomas Geoghegan and Rick Perlstein discuss The Uprising and whether this wave of discontent will end with a populist bang or an ineffectual whimper.
