Friday June 20 (8pm)
Of late, the Red Headed Stranger has only made headlines via a string of so-so albums, dubious new-country collaborations (though we forgive him — we know he only did them to get out of bankruptcy), and pot busts. But thanks to his near-constant touring, we are reminded that Willie stands with the likes of Hank Williams, Bob Dylan, and Townes van Zandt as one of our most important singer/songwriters. "Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain," "Angel Flying Too Close to the Ground," "Hello Walls," "Always on My Mind," and a litany of others are cemented in the canon of great American songs; tonight, Nelson and his band drown you in a whiskey river of his greatest hits.
