Performing Arts: Theatre It Came from the Neo-Futurarium VII

Substandard cinema usually has a special place on Blockbuster's back shelves, but the Neo-Futurists drag it back into the spotlight by transforming the best worst films into interactive-theatre experiences. The seventh annual series begins with the Revelettes' remake of Beach Blanket Bingo (1965), the fourth installment of Frankie and Annette's painfully bouncy beach-party flicks. The final performance, meanwhile — a rendition of the sassy, slutty Coyote Ugly (2000) — should leave the audience thankful it was spared from a reenactment of Gigli or Glitter. Then again, there's always next year.
