More Flavor: Festival Belmont Arts and Music Festival

Summer in Chicago means movies in the park, walks along the shore, and a cheap music fest nearly every weekend. The Belmont Arts and Music Festival is relatively new to the circuit, but with more than 40 arts-and-crafts vendors and 25 bands over two days, this Roscoe Village upstart looks every bit as enticing as Do Division or Wicker Park Summerfest. Cursive and the Redwalls headline Saturday, with American Music Club and Smoking Popes closing things out on Sunday. Along the way, make sure to catch Chicago's best roots-punk outfit, Waco Brothers, and the wispy bedroom electronica of Casiotone for the Painfully Alone.
