Performing Arts: Comedy Lisa Lampanelli

Lisa Lampanelli might look like a typical fortysomething soccer mom, but she's got the mouth of a depraved, horny sailor. The acid-tongued comedienne — who has developed a cult following for her appearances on Comedy Central's celebrity roasts — fearlessly skewers racial and sexual stereotypes and plays old-school bigotry for big laughs. Half ethnic-slur-spewing Archie Bunker, half insult-a-minute Joan Rivers, Lampanelli is loved (and hated) for her jaw-dropping profanity, sexually explicit raunch, and willingness to obliterate the line of good taste. Tonight, the self-described "Cunt of Comedy" brings her material to the Genesee Theatre for a night of bawdy one-liners and taboo-busting tirades.
