Reading 2nd Story

Serendipity Theatre Collective's "hybrid performance series" 2nd Story is a unique blend of staged theatre and seemingly improvisational storytelling. Initially conceived by members as a cabaret night, 2nd Story evolved to embrace the intimate, local-bar-as-living-room feel of their usual venue, the upstairs lounge at the Webster Wine Bar. Performers mingle with the audience as everyone imbibes, and when the lights dim, a spotlight shines on the featured storyteller. Tonight's show (at cozy Lakeview joint the Spot) features bicycle-centric yarns from Kim Morris, Aimee Perkins, and Shiow-Jiau Yung, all raising funds to help those affected by multiple sclerosis on the two-day, 175-mile Bike MS: Tour de Farms.
