More Flavor: Fair Chicago Tribune Printers Row Book Fair

Boasting nearly 100 free literary programs and five blocks of booksellers, the annual Printers Row Book Fair is a summer playground for bibliophiles. The panel discussions are always a highlight, and this year the gamut-running group of speakers includes A-list writers Scott Turow, Studs Terkel, Augusten Burroughs, Aleksandar Hemon, and Scott Simon, among others. But PRBF veterans know that the biggest thrills usually come from finding a rare book or attending an under-the-radar event. The Cartoonists Editing Comics discussion, led by iconoclastic artist Ivan Brunetti, looks particularly promising. The sheer scope of the fair can be a little intimidating, so check the Trib's Author List and plan accordingly.
