The annual Folk & Roots Festival is an all-inclusive affair — even the Welles Park tennis players can't ignore the music wafting through the treetops. Sure, the summer blowout features the usual food and beer vendors, but, with a lineup curated by the nearby Old Town School of Folk Music, the festival's music, dance, and children's artists are the real treats. Performers include Wiggleworms (the Old Town School's signature brand of kiddie catnip), Latin-funk purveyors Kinky, and expert cover bands playing Beatles, Kinks, and Wilco favorites.
