It's almost poetic that Steed Lord should emerge as a MySpace phenom. Just like the social-networking site, these Icelandic electro-wavers seem to innately understand the appeal of digital masquerading and hilariously brazen self-display. Onstage, they look like a Takashi Murakami drawing under a disco ball; on the ubiquitous "Dirty Mutha," singer Kali sounds like Grace Jones tossing off Prince-ly throwaways over a Mylo bedroom beat. The band's EP also includes beefed-up remixes by DJ Mehdi and Crookers; if you like the Ed Banger house of the former or the Italo-crunk of the latter, Steed Lord's '80s-drenched neon fantasia won't disappoint. Extra points if you get there in a DeLorean.
