The Dark Knight might go down as Heath Ledger's final film, but it would be a shame if the actor's tragic death overshadowed its prodigious appeal. It's a rare film that pulls something of substance out of summer-blockbuster fare. Even if comic-book movies aren't your thing, there's the added pleasure of seeing Chicago — where it was shot — transformed into gritty Gotham City. The Dark Knight is in wide release, but Navy Pier is the ideal place to see it; it's the first major feature film shot partially with IMAX cameras, and it's meant for the biggest of big screens.
