Performing Arts Tim Miller: Us

In his acclaimed 2003 work Us, Tim Miller goes into forced exile when his British partner's visa expires and he's not legally allowed to stay in the country through marriage. Us, shot through through the perspective of Miller's self-described "faggy" identity, is in some ways already a period piece, but many of its concerns about the state of the union remain as topical as they were at its premiere. In light of a recent move — Miller is now a Californian — the solo performance takes on new meaning. Be warned: Miller has earned a slew of devoted fans around the globe, including Chicago; his brief engagement here is guaranteed to sell out.
