A soulful love song to the city of Chicago, The Blues Brothers takes viewers on a madcap journey that passes many of our fair metropolis' celebrated and unsung landmarks — from gritty Maxwell Street (RIP) and the Picasso-fronted Daley Center to the rumbling El tracks and Wrigley Field. The raucous plot features Dan Aykroyd and John Belushi as the titular brothers, who are on a "mission from God" to save the orphanage in which they grew up. With eminently quotable dialogue, hilarious car chases in the Bluesmobile, and performances by James Brown, Aretha Franklin, and Ray Charles, it's easy to see how the action-packed film became an instant comedy favorite and a quintessential Chicago classic.
