Celebrate America's 232nd with Smartbar's Juke of July, which pits B'more vs ghetto tech vs juke. Back when Diplo was just a dinosaur and most of America thought Bossman was a WWF wrestler, DJ Scottie B kept watch over Baltimore's fledgling club-rap scene. The hammering, uptempo B'more beats are tailor-made for celebrations like this. But we won't begrudge anyone for grinding a little bit harder to Mike Dunn's local hip-house (Chicago's less cartoonish cousin to Detroit ghetto tech) and South Side juke merchant Nehpets.
