When beloved musician Chris Saathoff (Chin Up Chin Up and Miss Alex White & Chris Playboy) was killed by a drunk driver near the Empty Bottle in 2004, the tragedy hit the local indie-rock community hard. Tonight, the community pays tribute to the sorely missed Saathoff with a benefit show hosted by Chic-A-Go-Go's Miss Mia and Ratso. Chin Up Chin Up, the Smith Westerns, and mt.st.helens are scheduled to perform as attendees enjoy complimentary hot dogs and raffle prizes from Reckless Records, Laurie's Planet of Sound, and Busy Beaver Buttons. All proceeds go to the Christopher Saathoff Foundation, which supports children and music programs.
