Wolf Parade's 2005 full-length debut, Apologies to the Queen Mary, marked the arrival of a compelling new force in indie rock — a pair of distinctive songwriters with a taste for shambling synth lines, driving guitars, and raucous drums. The band's second LP, At Mount Zoomer, may have fewer wild, euphoric high points, but it's focused and self-assured, proving that Wolf Parade are more than just the sum of their parts.
